Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to both the Lake Erie Pulse website (lakeeriepulse.com) and the Lake Erie Pulse mobile app for iOS and Android.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may optionally provide a home port, watercraft details, and alert preferences.

Boat Listings: If you list a boat for sale, we collect the listing details you provide including contact information (name, email, phone), boat specifications, photos, and pricing.

Dealer & Business Partners: If you sign up as a dealer or business partner, we collect your business name, address, phone, website, and contact information.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, boat listings viewed, and features used to improve our platform.

Catch Reports: When you submit a fishing catch report, we collect the species, location, bait/lure, depth, and any notes you provide, along with your display name.

Location (Mobile App): With your permission, the mobile app accesses your device's location to show conditions relevant to where you are. Location is used in-session only and is not stored or tracked over time.

Push Notification Tokens (Mobile App): If you enable alerts, we store an anonymous device token to deliver marine and severe weather notifications. You can revoke this in device settings.

Advertising Identifier (Mobile App): The free version of the mobile app displays ads via Google AdMob, which uses a resettable advertising identifier, IP address, and device information to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit this in your device's system settings.
